Mustangs on the Ridge

We were leaving Medora ND heading northwest on Pacific Avenue. It was miserably hot and the air was alive with bugs. All of them bite. I could see this big stallion leading his herd along the top of the ridge looking for any zephyr that might blow the flies and mosquitoes away. I raced a mile or so up the road. I was set up and ready when they came into the edge of my composition. This is my panoramic masterpiece. I made that trip to North Dakota that summer looking for this very photo.
